Zodiak Kids, a Banijay Group company, announces a slew of sales as international buyers flock to its animated preschool series Zack and Quack, including deals across Latin America and the Middle East.
The newly launched second season (26 x 11) for Nickelodeon has sold to Discover Kids Latin America, Thai PBS and Israel Educational TV, while free TV channel TV3 Catalunya has acquired both seasons 1 and 2.
The premiere season continues to be a strong seller, with recent pickups from pubcasters RTHK TV (Hong Kong) and Television Nacional de Uruguay. Central American broadcaster Canal Once has also picked up the show. New European partners include Amazon Prime Germany, PlusPlus (Ukraine), ERR TV (Estonia) and Nasa Mreza (Bosnia, Montenegro, Serbia & Kosovo).
Further, Watchever has snagged SVOD rights to Zack & Quack for Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland. And all TV rights for season one have been licensed to WEKIDS Asia and I-Intellect for China and Malaysia.
Zack & Quack follows its titular heroes, who live inside an amazing pop-up book full of surprises, where pulling tabs makes exciting things happen. From the moment they step into their garden, Zack and Quack are destined for amazing adventures through new worlds as fantastic voyages literally unfold before their eyes.
Created by Gili Dolev and Yvette Kaplan, Zack & Quack is produced by QQD Ltd. in partnership with Belly Up Prod. (UK), Candy Bear Studios (Israel) and Infinite Frameworks (Singapore). Nigel Pickard and Ronen Shani are executive producers alongside Kaplan. QQD’s Dolev is the showrunner, Erez Gavish is series art director, and Maria O’Loughlin is the head writer.
